Add/Drop Courses
Dear Gryphon Students & Parents,
Please complete the Add/Drop Request Form to make a change to your 2024/2025 class schedule. Required core courses cannot be dropped and will not appear in the course list. If you need to drop a course not listed due to special circumstances, please fill out the "SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES" section for review by the College Counselor.
You must continue attending your currently assigned classes until you are notified of course request approval.
Deadline:
All requests must be submitted by midnight, Friday, September 20, 2024. For immediate consideration and priority review, the deadline is midnight, Friday, September 6, 2024.

Important Information:
- The form can be submitted by either the parent or the student.
- Submit the form while signed in to the student's school email account (@beaconhillclassical.org).
- Information about the Add/Drop process has been emailed to both the student and parent. Parents and students are responsible for discussing options before submission.
- Course Description of Courses Added/Modified.
- Submitting this form does not guarantee approval; requests are reviewed in the order received.
- All requests will be reviewed by Administration to determine approval or decline.
- If a request is declined, the College Counselor will contact the student and parent to discuss available options based on the student's academic needs and goals.
- Approved requests will result in enrollment in the new class and removal from the dropped course (if applicable).
- An email with the new schedule will be sent to both the parent and the student.
- A copy of the schedule will be available for pickup in the front office the following day.

Add/Drop Policy
Rhetoric students may add or drop a class during the first 5 school days of any new subject.
After this initial 5-day period, add/drops can be requested for the next 15 school days; course changes during this period require additional administrative review.
After the initial 20 school day window, students may not drop classes except at the end of the semester grading period. Dropping the course during the semester (after the add/drop period) will result in a Withdraw Passing (WP) or Withdraw Failing (WF) grade for that grading period. These designations will remain on a student’s transcript, but the grade will not be calculated into their GPA. Students should meet with administration to discuss options if the dropped class is a graduation requirement.
