Reading LevelsINDEPENDENT READING LEVEL
Usually the independent reading level of a child is 1-2 levels below his or her instructional level. Teachers often call books at a child’s independent reading level “Just Right Books.” INSTRUCTIONAL READING LEVEL The instructional reading level is identified as the highest text level your child can read with 90-94% accuracy and satisfactory or excellent comprehension. Ultimately, this is the level at which your child is successfully reading with just a little coaching from a more experienced reader. Book Lists for Students |
