Mrs. Matta is our director of fun on upper campus and enjoys seeing students laugh
and get excited over the silly activities and events she is blessed to plan for them. She spent ten years as a government contractor working at Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme as the manager of the civilian portion of the Public Affairs Office. Community outreach, media relations, ship tours, newsletters, visiting dignitaries, and planning special events were some of her daily activities. She also has utilized her bachelor's degree in English from Cal State University Northridge in numerous marketing positions over the years. Mrs. Matta has one son who called Beacon Hill his family from 7th -12th grade. In her spare time, she enjoys boating, playing cards, hanging out with family and friends, but one of her most favorite things is to watch people get baptized into the Lord’s family.

She enjoys doing that here in Ventura County, and hopes to do it overseas full-time in the near future. In her spare time, Ms. Brooks enjoys swimming, surfing, anything ocean related, hiking, learning languages, meeting new friends, hanging out with her niece and nephew and cooking/eating yummy, healthy food!
