What We Teach
Fine Arts
Students at Beacon Hill have many opportunities to learn about the fine arts.
In the morning, when we meet for Chapel, students spend time singing powerful Christian music: hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs. During music class, some of these pieces are practiced in parts.
Once a week, each Grammar and Logic student receives instruction in art appreciation. We use "Meet the Masters," which teaches art in relationship to a master artist. We first examine the artist himself, then study certain features of their art and finally imitate those features in our student art.
