Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
he descended to hades;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Today's Focus

It can seem like things are out of control right now. It could have also appeared that things were out of control around the cross of Christ as well. However, we will see that Jesus is actually leading the events around the cross. That should help give us some stability in these days. {John 13}

Thursday, 3/19 - Jesus Washes the Disciples' Feet

3/19/2020

Today's Focus

I thought it would be helpful during this trying season for us to see Jesus getting down on His knees and washing the disciples' feet in service, as we are surrounded by such fear. I am hopeful that these chapels will help us focus on Christ and find our confidence in His love as we move forward to good Friday and Easter Sunday. And so we begin in John 13.

Callouts to Review

Each day, we will include a few callouts for you to review. You may learn a few new ones, but most of them should be familiar. We recite these every morning in Chapel. As the parent, you will say the bold words. Your student will respond with the words in red.
  • God is opposed to the proud but gives grace to the humble.
  • Those who are faithful with little will be faithful with much.
  • Christ is LORD; Christ is all.
